Finally got caught in a proper downpour with this leash and the rubber overlay handled everything—no waterlogged stiffness, no smell, it just wiped clean. The inner polyester feels solid even when my dog lunges after a squirrel, so I’m not worried about it snapping mid-walk.

My old leash always came back stiff and smelly after beach days, but this rubber-coated one rinses clean in seconds and still feels totally pliable. The outer layer really does keep the inner polyester dry—salt water just beads right off it.

Took this leash out in a downpour last week and the rubber overlay kept my hands dry the whole walk—no soggy, stinking nylon like my old one. The inner polyester feels solid too, so I’m not worried about it snapping mid-tug.
