Finally got caught in a proper downpour with this leash and the rubber overlay handled everything—no waterlogged stiffness, no smell, it just wiped clean. The inner polyester feels solid even when my dog lunges after a squirrel, so I’m not worried about it snapping mid-walk.

My old leash always came back stiff and smelly after beach days, but this rubber-coated one rinses clean in seconds and still feels totally pliable. The outer layer really does keep the inner polyester dry—salt water just beads right off it.
