I got it for the dangling mode, and the way the pom-pom swings keeps her airborne for a solid ten minutes before she needs a break. The bells add just enough noise to make her zero in, which is way more active than her usual toy box.
The feather-and-bell pom-pom keeps my cat leaping off the couch for a solid fifteen minutes, and switching to the close-up mode is perfect when she’s low on energy but still wants to bat at it. That little bell jingle is her favorite trigger.
My cat is usually bored with toys after one session, but the option to switch between the dangling pom-pom and keeping it close to the wand has kept her engaged for days. The feathers and bells on the pom-pom definitely add to the draw when she's stalking it.
