Our cat knocked over a full glass of water on the bed and not a single drop reached the mattress underneath. The ripstop fabric feels tough yet thin enough that I don't notice it under the microfiber cover, and cleanup was just a quick wipe.
Used it under the microfiber cover for two weeks now and the ripstop fabric still feels as tough as day one. My toddler’s sippy cup leaked overnight and the mattress stayed completely dry, no smell at all. Definitely worth it for peace of mind.
Accidentally knocked over a mug of coffee this morning and the ripstop fabric held up perfectly, not a single drop got through to the mattress. The shield feels surprisingly tough yet doesn’t make a crinkle sound under the microfiber cover, which I really appreciate.
